Busime Lydia serves as the Coordinator at Tumaini la Africa Organization since January 2023, where the focus is on combating poverty and promoting youth entrepreneurship in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Additionally, Busime contributes as a Mobilization, Advocacy and Communication Officer at the Foundation for the Promotion and Development and works as a Social Worker with the National Association of Social Workers, addressing issues such as forced child labor and women's empowerment. Previous roles include Focal Point for the Nicole Ilunga Foundation and involvement with initiatives to prevent gender-based violence. Between 2021 and 2022, Busime engaged in various volunteer positions, including facilitating projects aimed at promoting social and economic development for women and children. Busime Lydia holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Social Service and Community Development from Hope Africa University, along with certifications in sustainable development and civic leadership.
