Alexander Hsieh is a Lead Bioinformatics Scientist and Manager at Natera since May 2021, previously serving as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist. Prior experience includes a role as a Computational Scientist I at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, where Alexander focused on developing computational methods for non-invasive prenatal diagnosis and studying post-zygotic mutations related to developmental disorders. Alexander earned a Ph.D. in Biomedical Informatics from Columbia University from 2014 to 2019 and a Bachelor's Degree in Bioengineering: Bioinformatics from UC San Diego from 2009 to 2013. Additional experience includes work as a Competitive Analysis Group Analyst at Illumina and positions at UCSD Division of Biomedical Informatics as an intern and staff research associate.
