Jay Bhatty

Jay Bhatty is the CEO and founder of NatGas Hub. Jay has over 15 years of experience in the energy industry, specializing in trading and risk management.

Bhatty began their career as a trading senior analyst at NRG Energy in 2004. Jay then moved to J.P. Morgan Investment Bank in 2008, where they worked as a vice president of energy trading. In this role, Bhatty was responsible for executing trades on NYMEX/Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME Group) and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), as well as managing a portfolio of natural gas futures, swaps, options, physicals, and LNG. Jay was also a member of the JPMorgan deal team that won Risk Magazine's "Natural Gas House of the Year" award for two consecutive years (2011 & 2012).

In 2014, Bhatty left J.P. Morgan to join Mercuria Energy Trading S.A. as vice president of trading. In this role, they oversaw the commodity trading portfolio for the company. Jay left Mercuria in 2016 to start NatGas Hub.

Jay Bhatty has an MBA in Finance from Cornell University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst from the CFA Institute.
