Dr. Phillip McCarter

Dr. Phillip McCarter has extensive work experience in the chemical industry. Dr. Phillip started their career as a Chemical Engineering Co-op at Burroughs Wellcome/Glaxo Wellcome in 1994 and worked in this role until 1996. Following this, they joined Ashland as a Process Engineer/ Reactor Department Supervisor in 1997 before moving to Nation Ford Chemical Co in 1999. At Nation Ford Chemical Co, Dr. McCarter held multiple positions including Process Engineer, Technical Manager, Vice President, and Chief Operating Officer. Dr. Phillip'smost recent role at Nation Ford Chemical Co is Deputy Chief Executive Officer/ Chief Operating Officer, which they have held since May 2023. Additionally, in 2019, they also became the Varsity Head Coach Men's Soccer at Catawba Ridge High School.

Dr. Phillip McCarter received a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with a Biosciences Option from North Carolina State University from 1992 to 1997. Dr. Phillip went on to complete a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Queens University of Charlotte between 2000 and 2002. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration in Engineering and Technology Management from National University, starting in 2020 and expected to finish in 2032. In addition to their education, Dr. McCarter has obtained various certifications in soccer coaching from institutions such as United Soccer Coaches and the U.S. Soccer Federation.
