Mr.Suresh M. Amerasekera is a Senior Banker, with over 35 years of experience in the Finance Industry. He last held the position as the CEO of Pan Oceanic Bank, the Solomon Islands from May 2016 to September 2018. Prior to that, he held the position as the CEO of Housing Development Finance Corporation and Orient Finance PLC.
For the last 12 years, he held five positions in the “C Suite” in 2 Banks and 3 Finance Companies, including the current position.
He has also served as the Assistant General Manager at Seylan Bank and as the Chief Operating Officer at Alliance Finance Co PLC and had his initial training in banking at the Colombo branches of State Bank of India and Bank of America.
Mr. Amerasekera holds an MBA (International Business) from the Edith Cowan University, Western Australia, and an Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting from Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK.
He has a proven track record in Strategy Formulation, Corporate and Retail Lending, and Risk Management.
