Linda Karimi

Linda Karimi has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Linda has held various roles in different organizations, showcasing their ability to adapt to changing environments.

From 2008 to the present, Linda has been working at Nation Media Group. Linda started as an Accountant in the Accounts Payables department and later became a Cost Accountant, where they facilitated stock management and prepared various financial reports. Linda then transitioned to the role of Business Support and Reporting Manager-Print, where they prepared management accounts, participated in budget negotiations, and ensured financial plans met targets. Linda's next role was as Chief Accountant, where they prepared financial reports, monitored business performance, managed liquidity, and oversaw the credit control function. Linda'smost recent role at Nation Media Group is as the Head of Finance-Kenya, where they lead the finance department during times of global uncertainties and makes decisions to sustain the business in adverse circumstances.

Prior to joining Nation Media Group, Linda worked at Isuzu East Africa Limited from 2005 to 2008. Linda started as an Assistant Credit Controller and later became a General Ledger and Fixed Assets Analyst.

Linda Karimi's education history includes completing the Women Directors Leadership Programme (WDLP) at Strathmore Business School (SBS) in 2023. Before that, they completed the Senior Management Leadership Programme (SMLP) at SBS in 2018 and the Women in Leadership Programme at SBS in 2016. In 2013, they completed the Program for Management Development (PMD) at SBS and also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi. In 2005, Linda finished their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Finance at The Catholic University of Eastern Africa. Linda also obtained a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)K degree from Vision Institute of Professionals in the same year.
