Melissa Fowler

Chief Program Officer at National Abortion Federation

Melissa Fowler has a diverse work experience, beginning with their current position as a Member at Chief, a private network focused on empowering women executives and driving them into leadership positions. Melissa joined Chief in January 2023.

Prior to their role at Chief, Melissa held various positions at the National Abortion Federation, starting as a Communications Coordinator in October 2006 and eventually progressing to the position of Chief Program Officer in January 2021. Along the way, they served as a Senior Director of Communications & Membership from February 2013 to March 2019 and then as the Vice President of External Relations from March 2019 to January 2021.

Additionally, Melissa was a Board Member of Nursing Students for Sexual & Reproductive Health from January 2013 to December 2017.

Melissa also worked as a Staff Writer/Consultant at Children at Risk in 2006.
