Amanda Grigg

Director, Forum For Children's Well-being at National Academy of Sciences

Amanda Grigg, Ph.D., currently serves as the Director of the Forum for Children's Well-Being at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine since April 2021. Prior to this role, Amanda held various positions at the American Political Science Association, including Director of Public Engagement and Associate Director of the Centennial Center for Political Science and Public Affairs, where responsibilities included overseeing public engagement, grantmaking programs, and staff management. Amanda's academic background includes positions as an educator and academic advisor at the University of Michigan and the University of Nevada, Reno, teaching undergraduate courses in Political Science and Women's Studies. Amanda earned a Ph.D. in Political Science and Government from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where a focus on Political Theory was pursued, and also holds a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in the same fields.
