Cathy Gruber

Cathy Gruber is the Managing Editor for the Division on Engineering and Physical Sciences at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, a position held since April 2009, responsible for managing the editing and publication of division reports and materials. Prior to this role, Cathy served in various editorial and assistant positions within The National Academies, including Editor and Assistant Editor for the Space Studies Board from 1996 to 2009, and earlier roles at the National Academy of Sciences-Smithsonian Institution and the National Institute of Mental Health. Cathy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in natural science from St. Mary's College of Maryland, completing education there from 1983 to 1987, and has attended several other educational institutions including Georgetown University and the University of Maryland.
