Ellen K. Kimmel

Ellen K. Kimmel, MLIS, is a seasoned librarian with extensive experience in research and outreach. Currently serving as a Senior Librarian for the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine since January 2021, Ellen K. Kimmel oversees the creation of a monthly newsletter that informs staff on new resources and training opportunities. Previously, at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute, Ellen K. Kimmel supported scientific research and portfolio management as a Medical Librarian/Program Officer. Ellen K. Kimmel has held various librarian roles, including Senior Research Librarian and Research Librarian at the National Academies, and has experience in search engine evaluation, cataloging, and production assistance. Ellen K. Kimmel holds a Master of Library and Information Science from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Arts in the History of Art from the University of Michigan.
