Charlie Bufalino

Charlie Bufalino serves as the Senior Director of State Advocacy and Support at the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools, where advocacy campaigns are led to enhance public charter school laws and policies across various states. Prior to this role, Charlie Bufalino was the Assistant Commissioner of Policy and Legislative Affairs at the Tennessee Department of Education, overseeing the department's policy and legislative strategy and successfully passing numerous significant education bills. Experience includes positions as Director of Policy & Strategy at TennesseeCAN and Graduate Fellow in Policy & Research at SCORE, as well as early roles at Ampersand Education Partners and Rocketship Education. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Public Policy Analysis from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor's Degree in History from Pomona College.
