Dr. Renee Thomason

Dr. Renee Thomason is a Family Medicine Physician and Hospitalist at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center since August 2019, where responsibilities include patient evaluation, treatment, and collaboration with specialists. As the founder of Thomason Consulting, LLC, Dr. Thomason also serves as a Consultant and Health & Research Ambassador for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, leading initiatives to educate the patient community about Patient-Centered Outcomes Research. Previous roles include Locums Primary Care Physician at Neighborhood Health at Merrifield, Family Medicine Resident at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, and Adjunct Faculty at Liberty University. Dr. Thomason holds a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lincoln Memorial University, a Master of Science from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Carolina.
