David Coffey has a diverse work experience spanning from 2009 to the present. David started their career as an intern at McClatchy Newspapers and later at the Associated Press Television Network. In 2009, they joined VJMovement as a Videojournalist before transitioning to 76 Words as a Video Editor in 2012. David then moved to Tillinghast Reid WorldWide, LLC as a Researcher and Assistant Editor. Since 2014, they have been working at the National Aquarium, starting as a Videographer and gradually progressing to roles such as Visual Productions Manager, Director of Visual Productions, and currently serving as the Director of Visual Creative.
David Coffey obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Journalism from American University, which they attended from 2008 to 2009. Prior to that, they attended Davidson College from 2000 to 2004 and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Religion/Sociology. In addition to their formal education, David Coffey obtained a certification as a Section4 Certified Brand Strategist from Section4 in July 2021.
