Paula Liz is an experienced art educator and advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion in the arts. Currently serving as the Youth and Preservice Program Manager and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Commissioner At Large at the National Art Education Association since July 2021, Paula also founded and directs the organization Anti-Racist Art Teachers, which focuses on promoting inclusive thinking and celebrating diversity through arts education. With a teaching background spanning over a decade in various public, independent, and charter schools across New York, Texas, Washington DC, and Maryland, Paula has also held leadership roles such as Treasurer and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Coordinator for the Maryland Art Education Association. Additional contributions include serving as an elected faculty representative for the Montgomery County Education Association and participation in the Maryland State Department of Education's Anti-Racist Educators in The Arts Learning Lab. Previous experience includes roles at The Walters Art Museum and New York Cares.
