Karen Boone

Karen Boone is a seasoned civic leader and advocate with extensive experience in community engagement and development. As the CEO and Founder of I Am Spokane since May 2016, Boone leads initiatives to enhance civic involvement and promote community pride. Other roles include serving as a Senior Advisor for Women United Against Sexual Molestation and as a Service to the Armed Forces-SAF Agent for the American Red Cross. Boone is also a Licensed Minister with the National Association of Christian Ministers, focusing on leadership development and community engagement. Previous positions include Coordinator of Prevention & Community Development at Lutheran Community Services and Commissioner for the Washington State Commission on African American Affairs, where efforts centered on improving the well-being of African Americans. Boone holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Government from Eastern Washington University.
