Donna Schiele has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Donna began their career in education, working as a teacher for Richland County Schools from 1998 to 2000, then moving to Gwinnett County Public Schools from 2000 to 2002. Donna received recognition as Teacher of the Year in 2005 while teaching at Douglas County Schools as part of their Early Intervention Program.
In 2006, Donna transitioned to a career in radio, working as an On-Air Personality and Board Op for Radio One. Donna held this position until 2019, when they joined Urban One, Inc as an On-Air Personality for Classix 102.9. Donna hosted shows such as Saturday Love and Sunday Vibes.
In 2016, Donna took on an administrative role as the Academic Dean for Tindley Accelerated Schools. After a year, they became a teacher at Fishers Junior High School in 2008, where they taught until 2019 and also served as an Interventionist/Literacy Coach from 2017 to 2019.
Donna's experience in education continued with a brief position as a Grade 7/8 ELA and Math Lit Teacher at Cobb County School District in 2019. Moving forward, they took an interim role as the Assistant Director of Extended Day and Summer Learning at The Children's School in 2023, highlighting their passion for education and leadership.
Additionally, Donna has recently entered the podcasting world, joining NACUBO as the Host of the CBO Speaks Podcast in 2021. Donna continues to contribute their radio talents and passion for communication in this role.
Donna Schiele earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Hampton University between 1988 and 1993. From 2013 to 2015, they attended the University of Indianapolis where they obtained a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and an Administrative License.
