Kara D. Freeman

Kara Freeman, CAE, currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer at NACUBO, a position held since June 2023. Prior to this role, Kara Freeman was with the American Council on Education from May 2006 to May 2023, where responsibilities included Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Vice President of Administration and CIO, and Director of Information Technology. In addition, Kara Freeman contributed to ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership as part of the Technology Advisory Council from December 2017 to December 2019, and served on the EDUCAUSE Board from October 2011 to October 2015. Earlier career experiences include roles such as Program Manager at Lockheed Martin Information Technology, Instructor at UMBC, Technology Sales Consultant at Jacobs Rimmell, and several managerial positions in information technology at various organizations including Digex, HarvardNet, Inc., and MCI. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Information Systems from The George Washington University School of Business and a degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
