Before joining Access Community Health Network, Deila held the position of Manager of Individual Giving and Corporate Sponsorships where they designed and implemented strategies to attract new donors, increase giving levels, and enhance corporate partnerships.
Earlier in their career, Deila worked as the Assistant Director of Development at Providence-St. Mel, where they managed a comprehensive fundraising program.
Deila Davis began their career as a Policy Analyst in the Office of Detroit Council Member Nicholas Hood III, where they provided counsel on legislative, government affairs, and public administration issues. Deila Davis also analyzed complex economic development agreements and authored articles, position papers, press releases, and resolutions.

Deila Davis obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a dual major in Public Policy and Organizational Behavior and Management from Brown University. Deila Davis then pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of Notre Dame - Mendoza College of Business. Finally, they furthered their education by earning a Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree with a specialization in Public Policy from the University of Michigan - Rackham Graduate School.
