Dean Warrenfeltz has extensive experience in educational leadership, currently serving as Principal at Winchester Avenue School since August 2005. In addition to this role, Dean Warrenfeltz has been actively involved with NAESP since 1998, holding positions as Principal and Zone 3 Director on the Board of Directors. Membership with WVAEMSP began in 1998. Prior to the current position, Dean Warrenfeltz was Principal at Burke Street School from 1998 to June 2005. Academically, Dean Warrenfeltz earned a Master's degree in Education Administration from West Virginia University between 1982 and 1989 and a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Frostburg State University from 1973 to 1977.

National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) leads in the advocacy and support for elementary and middle-level principals and other education leaders in their commitment for all children. In 2008, NAESP embarked on an ambitious—and achievable—strategic plan to best lead, serve, and support elementary and middle-level principals today and in the future. NAESP will strive to continue to be principal-led, member-driven, and business-focused. A core focus of our work will be to ensure that principals have what they need to lead learning communities. NAESP is committed to providing the research, tools, learning experiences, and networking that enable our members to understand and prepare students to be highly adaptive learners in a rapidly changing world.
