John A. Simms is an experienced digital media professional with a notable background in content management, videography, and educational instruction. Currently serving as a Digital Media Specialist at the National Association of Elementary School Principals since June 2023 and as a Content Manager at Peace News Network since January 2022, John has also held positions as a videographer with The Washington Informer, covering significant events and interviews. Formerly, John worked as a Film Instructor and Video Production Manager at Richard Wright Public Charter School, where a comprehensive Digital Media/Film program was established, enhancing student engagement and community partnerships. National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) leads in the advocacy and support for elementary and middle-level principals and other education leaders in their commitment for all children. In 2008, NAESP embarked on an ambitious—and achievable—strategic plan to best lead, serve, and support elementary and middle-level principals today and in the future. NAESP will strive to continue to be principal-led, member-driven, and business-focused. A core focus of our work will be to ensure that principals have what they need to lead learning communities. NAESP is committed to providing the research, tools, learning experiences, and networking that enable our members to understand and prepare students to be highly adaptive learners in a rapidly changing world.
