Douglas Kupas, MD, FAEMS, FACEP has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of emergency medicine. Douglas started their career in 1990 as an Emergency Physician at Geisinger, where they eventually held multiple roles including Director of Mobile Integrated Healthcare, Director of Resuscitation Programs, EMS Medical Director for Geisinger EMS/Danville Ambulance Service, and Associate Chief Academic Officer for Simulation and Medical Education. Douglas also served as the Emergency Medicine Residency Program Director at Geisinger. In 2021, Dr. Kupas became the Medical Director for the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians. Douglas joined Temple University in 2017 as a Professor of Emergency Medicine and later served as the Associate Dean for the Geisinger Campus. Additionally, Dr. Kupas has held the position of Commonwealth EMS Medical Director at the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Bureau of EMS since 2000. Douglas'sexpertise and dedication to the field make him a highly respected and accomplished professional in the emergency medicine community.

Douglas Kupas, MD, FAEMS, FACEP has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology and Chemistry from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Subsequently, they attended Thomas Jefferson University where they earned their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
