Shelley Powell, BSN, MHA, CPHQ, CPPS, currently serves as the NAHQ Navigator at the National Association for Healthcare Quality, focusing on improving quality and safety in healthcare organizations. With extensive experience at SSM Health, Shelley held multiple leadership positions, including Clinical Onboarding Coordinator, Senior Manager of Quality and Safety, System Manager of Clinical Quality, and System Patient Safety Manager. In these roles, Shelley developed and implemented programs for employee health during the COVID-19 pandemic, reduced readmissions through multi-disciplinary initiatives, and established a comprehensive patient safety program.
