Eric Oberdorfer serves as the Director of Policy and Program Development at the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) since June 2015. In this role, Eric manages the Policy and Program Development Department, analyzes federal legislation related to housing and community development, and communicates NAHRO’s policy positions to HUD officials. Previous experience includes a Policy Advisor position at NAHRO, where Eric represented the association, produced critical analyses of legislation, and contributed to trainings. Earlier roles involved research focused on housing issues at the Housing Assistance Council and BC Housing. Eric holds a Master’s degree in Community and Regional Planning from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and International Development from the University of Washington.
