Malia Dowell is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in both print and digital media. Currently serving as a Designer at the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) since September 2021, Malia focuses on design and template creation while maintaining organizational standards. Prior to NAMIC, Malia worked as a Communications Specialist at Western Kentucky University, where leadership skills were demonstrated by successfully guiding a marketing/design team through a significant university-wide tobacco policy change. Previous roles include Senior Graphic Designer at Indianapolis Public Schools, where team management was key during high-volume marketing campaigns, and Graphic Designer/Office Manager at EMI Fundraising. Malia holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Western Kentucky University, completed in 2010.

Founded in 1895, the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) is a full-service national trade association serving the property/casualty insurance industry with more than 1,400 member companies that underwrite nearly 40 percent of the property/casualty insurance premium in the United States. NAMIC members are small farm mutual companies, state and regional insurance companies, risk retention groups, national writers, reinsurance companies, and international insurance giants.
