Jaimie Beard-Dawda, M.A., NCSP, currently serves as the Lead School Psychologist for Detroit Public Schools Community District since September 2019, having previously held multiple roles within the district. Jaimie is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and an active member of the National Association of School Psychologists and the Michigan Association of School Psychologists, where Jaimie also holds the position of Region 12 Director. Academic qualifications include a Master's Degree in School and Community Psychology from Wayne State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Oakland University. Professional experience encompasses internships and clinical work, including providing therapy for youth in the juvenile justice system and engaging in school psychological practicum experiences. Jaimie's research interests include resilience in immigrant and refugee populations, as highlighted in a master’s thesis project.
