Drin Gyuk

Senior Director, IT at National Audubon Society

Drin Gyuk has over 25 years of work experience in the field of information technology. Currently, they serve as the Senior Director of Information Technology at the National Audubon Society. Prior to this role, they worked as a Microsoft Systems Administrator at Mini-Circuits and as a Senior Microsoft 365 Consultant at Pacxa.

From 2020 to 2021, Drin worked at NTT DATA Services as an Enterprise Architect Specialist Advisor. In this role, they provided solutions architecture and subject matter expertise for cloud-based IT enterprise design frameworks. Drin led discovery sessions and assessed clients' needs, with a focus on the Department of Justice.

From 2003 to 2019, Drin served as the Information Technology Director at the Newberry Library. During their tenure, they introduced and implemented various IT projects and initiatives, including the deployment of Office 365, migration to Outlook Online and OneDrive, and the introduction of O365 Teams and Planner resources. Drin also oversaw the design and implementation of computing, AV, and network infrastructure for a major building renovation project.

Prior to their work at the Newberry Library, Drin worked as a Systems Administrator at the Chicago History Museum from 2001 to 2003. In this role, they configured and administered Windows servers on a network serving 150 staff members. Drin implemented Active Directory, MS Exchange, and Checkpoint firewall, and improved network capacity and topology.

Drin's earlier work experience includes serving as a Project Manager/Systems Administrator at Piper Studios, Inc. and as a Public Computing Administrator at Washtenaw Community College. Drin also worked as a Network Administrator at the University of Michigan - School of Information.

Throughout their career, Drin has demonstrated expertise in various areas of IT, including systems administration, network security, web app development, and project management. Drin has a strong background in implementing and managing Microsoft technologies and has leveraged cloud services to provide remote computing capabilities to staff.

Drin Gyuk holds a Master's degree in Information Studies from the University of Michigan. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of Virginia. In addition to their formal education, Drin Gyuk has obtained certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2020 and Professional Scrum Master PSM I from Scrum.org in April 2020.
