Jason Howe's work experience began in 1997 as an Environmental Reporter at WPTZ-TV, where they developed and produced a weekly environmental series and reported live general assignment stories. In 2000, they worked as a Syndicated Travel Reporter at CNX Media, researching, producing, and writing stories aired on 90 television stations. Jason also coordinated on-location video shoots in developing nations. From 2002 to 2007, they were a General Assignment Reporter at KOVR TV. In 2007, they became a Senior Public Information Officer at Lambda Legal and remained in that role until 2011. From 2008 to 2008, they were a Spokesman/Field Media Coordinator at No On Prop 8 - Equality For All, leading media outreach and countering opponents' messaging. In 2011, they joined ACLU of Southern California as a Communications Director and served until 2013. In 2014, they worked as a Media relations/editorial consultant at Los Angeles LGBT Center for a few months. From 2015 to 2017, they were the Director of Communications at Equality California, and then they became a Freelance writer, media relations consultant, video producer, and translator in Los Angeles in 2013. Jason is currently working as a Media Relations Manager at the National Audubon Society since 2019.
