Michelle Parker

VP & Executive Director, Audubon Great Lakes at National Audubon Society

Michelle Parker is a seasoned professional in conservation and environmental management, currently serving as the Vice President and Executive Director of Audubon Great Lakes at the National Audubon Society since April 2020. In addition, Michelle holds the position of Commissioner and Vice Chair for the Illinois Nature Preserves Commission, focusing on the protection of high-quality natural areas and habitats for endangered species. Michelle is also a Board Trustee for the Linda Sokol Francis Brookfield Library, where responsibilities include policy setting and funding advocacy. Previously, Michelle worked as a Program Officer at Crown Family Philanthropies and held various senior roles at Shedd Aquarium, where notable contributions included co-writing a sustainability chapter for "Zookeeping: An Introduction to the Science and Technology." Michelle's educational background includes a BS in Conservation Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Masters in Zoology from Miami University, and a certificate in Non-Profit Management from Kellogg Executive Education.
