Renee Wilson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Renee first worked as a Public Relations Assistant Account Executive at Karen T. Bartlett & Associates from June 1990 to June 1991. From 1991 to 1998, they worked at the Community Development Corporation, initially as a Sales and Marketing Assistant and Coordinator/Office Manager and later as a Sales Assistant/Office Manager and Closing Coordinator. In 1998, they became the Director of Client Relations/Office Manager at Theresa Carollo Interiors, Inc, where they wrote press releases, feature stories, and newsletters and represented the firm at industry functions. Renee then worked as a Coastal Training Specialist/Project Greenscape Coordinator at Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve from January 2009 to December 2010, coordinating meetings and workshops and delivering educational experiences. From 2009 to 2011, they were the Ft. Myers Nature Examiner at Examiner.com. In 2009, they also started their own business, Grass Roots Graphics, where they served as the Owner. From December 2000 to May 2019, they worked at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection as a Research Translator, generating community support and developing outreach programs. Most recently, starting in May 2019, they became a Communications Associate at the National Audubon Society.

Renee Wilson attended the University of South Florida/Tampa from 1986 to 1990. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications.
