Senior Coordinator: Education & Public Programs at National Audubon Society

Ryan MacLean has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Ryan began their career in 2010 as an Office Assistant to Professor Erica Lindsay at Bard College, where they were responsible for organizing music charts and creating web pages. Ryan also worked as an Usher, managing crowds and addressing attendee requests at various performances.

In 2012, Ryan interned at Clubhouse Inc., where they assisted in setting up recording equipment and provided basic maintenance in the studio during recording sessions for artists like Garth Hudson and The National.

Ryan joined the National Audubon Society in 2013 as a Senior Coordinator for Education & Public Programs. Their responsibilities included organizing birding and nature-related programs, conducting school programs, and leading community science initiatives.

In 2016, Ryan worked as a Hospitality Specialist at The Capitol Theatre and as a Professional Musician at The Hook Club, performing at weddings and other events. Ryan also served as an Official Hawk Counter at Braddock Bay Raptor Research, where they identified and counted migratory raptors and educated visitors about hawk migration.

In 2019, they became an Environmental Educator at the Connecticut Audubon Society, where they conducted education programs and handled birds of prey for public display.
