Shawn Clem

Director Of Conservation, Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary at National Audubon Society

Shawn Clem's work experience begins in 1998 as a Conservation Intern at the Student Conservation Association. Shawn then worked as a Graduate Student at Florida International University from 1999 to 2004. In 2005, they became a Post Doctoral Research Associate at the U.S. Geological Survey, and they also started working as a Research Manager for SW Florida at the National Audubon Society. In 2010, Shawn took on the role of Adjunct Faculty at Florida Gulf Coast University and Adjunct Professor at Florida SouthWestern State College. Finally, in 2018, they became the Research Director at the National Audubon Society.

Shawn Clem has a strong educational background in the field of science and mathematics. Shawn obtained their Bachelor's degree in Marine Science and Mathematics from Eckerd College, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Shawn then went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Biology from Florida International University, completing their doctoral studies between 1999 and 2004.
