Thomas Schroeder has extensive work experience in the field of conservation and sustainable agriculture. thomas began their career in 2016 as a Sustainable Agriculture Specialist at the National Center for Appropriate Technology, where they worked until 2018. During this time, they gained expertise in sustainable agriculture practices.

In 2018, Thomas joined the National Audubon Society and took on the role of Conservation Ranching Program Manager. In this role, they managed the Conservation Ranching Program, which aimed to promote the conservation of grassland birds through partnerships with ranchers. thomas held this position until 2023, when they transitioned to the role of Audubon Conservation Ranching Partnerships Manager.

Additionally, Thomas Schroeder served as a board member for the Austin-Travis County Food Policy Board at Travis County from November 2018 to July 2019. thomas chaired the Support Farmers and Farms Working group, demonstrating their commitment to supporting local farmers and promoting sustainable food policies.

Thomas Schroeder completed their high school education at Whitefish Bay High School from 1993 to 1997. Following this, they attended Marquette University from 1998 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology. Thomas then pursued further education at Texas State University from 2010 to 2014, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, General.
