Leon van Kemenade

Leon van Kemenade serves as the Director of Technology Modernisation Risk Management and Resilience Risk at NAB since June 2025. Previously, Leon spent over 16 years at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) in various roles, including Risk Specialist in Operational Resilience and Manager of the IT Risk Operational Resilience team. Leon's responsibilities involved managing a team of IT Risk Specialists, conducting reviews of IT and operational risk for financial institutions, and identifying industry-wide IT risk issues. Prior experience includes positions as an Examining Officer at the Dutch Central Bank, Senior IT Auditor at ABN AMRO Bank, and IT Auditor at Ernst & Young. Leon holds a Postgraduate Certificate from Macquarie University, an Executive Master's degree in IT Auditing from TIAS School for Business and Society, and two Master's degrees in Business Engineering and Management Science from Eindhoven University of Technology.
