Animal Care and Education

The Animal Care and Education team at the National Aviary is responsible for the comprehensive care and welfare of the institution's diverse bird population, conducting rigorous avian research, and delivering engaging educational programming. Team members ensure the health and well-being of birds through veterinary care, training, and enrichment activities, while also fostering public understanding and appreciation of avian species and conservation efforts. They create interactive learning experiences, such as art classes and hands-on demonstrations, to inspire and educate visitors about the importance of wildlife conservation.
