Saleh Omar is an experienced professional in operational risk management, currently serving as the Head of Operational Risk Management at the National Bank of Egypt since September 2010. In this role, Saleh develops and implements the operational risk management strategy, leading a team of over 80 employees and overseeing the operational risk framework across the bank's 25,000+ workforce. Key responsibilities include advising senior management on operational risk principles, ensuring compliance with Central Bank of Egypt regulations, and managing risk assessment and business continuity strategies. Prior to this, Saleh held various positions at Barclays Bank from 1993 to 2010, including Risk and Control Assessment Director and Branch Operations Regional Senior Manager. Saleh holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Cairo University.
