Vassilios Kavalos

General Manager of Cash Management and Money Market at National Bank of Greece

Mr. Vassilios Kavalos was appointed General Manager of Cash and Money Market Management in July 2019. In June 2015, he was appointed Assistant General Manager of Cash and Money Market Management.

From 2011 to 2015 he was the Director of the Group Finance Division, with the main object of ensuring liquidity and its distribution within the group.

In 2008 he was promoted to Deputy Director of Trading of the General Directorate of Cash Management and Money Market.

From 1999 to 2005 he participated, after a relevant posting, in the establishment and subsequent operation of the Lending Department of the Public Debt Management Organization (ODDIH).

In 1997 he became head of the Government Bond Trading Service of the Dealing Room, to whose power he belonged, by choice, since 1991.

He was hired by the National Bank through the public tender of 1981 and was placed in the Stadium Department 38, where he remained for ten years, serving in the export and lending services.

He is a graduate of Deree College with a BSc in Business Administration and a certified Customer Portfolio Manager by the Bank of Greece.
