Stephen Gathongo

Stephen Gathongo is an experienced banking professional with a strong background in credit management and corporate banking. Currently serving as the Director of Credit at National Bank of Kenya since February 2022, Stephen previously held senior positions at KCB Bank Group, including Head of Corporate and Mortgage Credit. Stephen's extensive career in credit management spans over two decades, with significant roles at both KCB and Barclays, focusing on servicing and acquiring medium and large business customers, as well as developing financial solutions for corporate clients. Stephen holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Leicester and a Bachelor of Commerce in Banking from the University of Nairobi, supplementing a robust educational foundation in finance and credit.
