Giridhar S Varadachari was appointed Chief Financial Officer of NBO in January 2021 following more than three decades of experience in Financial services industry leading financial institutions across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the UK.
Giri worked with Ernst & Young in Bahrain before he joined Standard Chartered Bank, where he worked for two decades. During this time he held senior leadership positions within operations and Finance functions including six years as Director Finance of PT Bank Permata in In Indonesia. Most recently he worked with HSBC for over 5.5 years and provided leadership to a large portion of their finance function.
Giri obtained is Bachelors in Commerce from Madras University. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from Henley Management College in the UK.
