Munawar Hussain Gopang

Munawar Hussain Gopang is a seasoned banking and financial professional with extensive experience in investigative services and financial crimes. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Head of Investigative Services Wing at the National Bank of Pakistan since September 2020, Munawar has a strong background that includes a role as Vice President and Additional Director at the Federal Investigation Agency from October 2018 to August 2020. Previous positions also include Assistant Vice President at the National Bank of Pakistan and AVP/Business Development Executive at NBP's Wholesale Bank in Bahrain from April 2009 to January 2015. Munawar has held various roles at the National Bank of Pakistan since 1996, including General Manager in Agricultural Finance. With an MBA in Management Information Systems from the University of Sindh and training in Islamic Banking from the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance, Munawar possesses a robust educational foundation to complement a rich professional trajectory.
