Joel Peterson possesses extensive experience in communications and sports broadcasting. Currently serving as a Senior Communications Advisor at the Victorian Fisheries Authority since June 2020, Joel also holds roles as a commentator for the National Basketball League and a sports commentator for ABC Grandstand, both since 2022 and 2018 respectively. Additional experience includes broadcasting for Bendigo's Best Sport 101.5 Fresh FM since 2011, and working as a Communications Advisor with Victoria Police from September 2018 to February 2019. Joel has contributed to the Bendigo Weekly as a journalist from June 2012 to September 2018 and held an executive committee position in the Bendigo Junior Football League from December 2016 to January 2019. Joel's journalism background includes a role at ABC Central Victoria from February 2017 to February 2018. Educational qualifications include studies at Bendigo Senior Secondary College and Flora Hill Secondary College.
