David Whittinghill

David Whittinghill has a significant work history in the field of mental health counseling and education. David started their career as an Assistant Professor in the Counseling Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1999. David later became an Associate Professor in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at the University of North Florida in 2002. In 2009, they joined Capella University as a Professor (Core Faculty) in the Mental Health Counseling department, where they worked until 2014. During this time, they also started their private practice as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor. In 2014, they joined The National Board for Certified Counselors as the Director of Examination Content Development. This extensive experience showcases David Whittinghill's expertise in the field of mental health counseling and their commitment to advancing the field through education and examination development.

David Whittinghill received their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor Education from the University of Florida. David attended the university from 1994 to 2000.
