Katy Goodell

Marketing & Outreach Specialist at National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching

Katy is a Duke Integrative Medicine trained health coach and has been an NBC-HWC since 2019. Formerly an English teacher, she also has experience mentoring teens in courses such as Wellness, Life Skills, Writing, and Yoga.

Katy knows how important it is to tend to the many aspects that contribute to health and well-being, so she regularly makes time for biking, running, mindfulness meditation, gardening, cooking, and having awesome adventures with her husband of 26 years, Josh. They raised three children over these last years and now that their youngest recently left for college, they are enjoying last-minute road trips and quiet dinners for the first time ever. Katy currently resides in Dallas, Texas.

As part of the healthcare commission, she is responsible for outreach to healthcare organizations and managing the data collection projects currently underway, which are in support of reimbursement for the field of health and wellness coaching. One of these data collection efforts is in partnership with U.C. San Diego, who is collaborating with NBHWC to gather utilization data from healthcare organizations that are using CPT codes for health and wellness coaching services.
