Lisa Clarke

Vice President, Experience & Activation at National Board for Professional Teaching Standards

Lisa Clarke, NBCT, currently serves as Vice President of Experience and Activation at the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, having held several leadership roles within the organization since August 2014. Previous experience includes consulting for the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and teaching as an adjunct professor at Denison University. Lisa began a notable career in education as a teacher in the Kent School District and the NYC Department of Education, following involvement with the TNTP Teaching Fellows program. Additionally, Lisa has held various academic and consulting positions, including roles at Rutgers University and the United Nations. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Education Policy and Leadership at American University, Lisa also possesses a Master's in Education from Brooklyn College and in Women's and Gender Studies from Rutgers University, alongside a Bachelor's degree from Providence College.
