Melissa Mays

Melissa Mays is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in project management and technology coordination. Currently serving as the Director of Project Management at the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards since January 2020, Melissa previously held the role of Senior Manager for Projects and Process Improvements. Prior to this, Melissa worked at Leadership for Educational Equity from September 2014 to January 2020, where responsibilities included Manager of Technology Projects and Technology Coordinator. Melissa's career also includes a role as an Associate at Bostrom Corporation and an internship with the City of New Haven in the Department of Medical Benefits and Finance. Academically, Melissa earned a Master of Science in Information Technology, specializing in Informatics, from the University of Maryland Global Campus (2014-2017) and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Georgetown University (2007-2011). Melissa holds multiple certifications, including PMP, CSPO, CSM, and LBBP.
