Shin Murakami, PhD, FGSA, is the Founder and Director of the Biotech Academy Internship Program, which offers free summer courses to help alleviate the financial burden of educational fees in Vallejo. With extensive involvement in medical education, Shin serves as a National Faculty member for the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners, contributing to the development of medical board exams. Additionally, Shin is a long-time member of the National Scientific Advisory Council for the American Federation for Aging Research and holds a Fellow designation in the Gerontological Society of America, recognizing outstanding contributions to the field. Shin has also taken on editorial roles for Frontiers journals focused on aging, collaborated with local high schools in Vallejo, and held various academic positions at Touro University California, promoting elderly advocacy and overseeing biosafety compliance. Shin's educational background includes a PhD from Kyoto University.
