David Arons

Chief Executive Officer at National Brain Tumor Society

David Arons has held various roles throughout their work experience. David started their career as a Legislative Associate at Independent Sector in 1994. David later joined Tufts University as a Program Director, where they coordinated a national research project studying nonprofits and directed community outreach initiatives. In 1999, they co-founded and co-directed the Center for Lobbying in the Public Interest, a national advocacy training organization for nonprofits and foundations. Moving on, they joined the American Cancer Society as the Director of Government Relations, where they led lobbying and grassroots advocacy efforts, resulting in several successful policy changes. In 2011, they joined the National Brain Tumor Society, initially serving as the Chief Public Policy and Advocacy Officer, responsible for directing the organization's nationwide public policy and advocacy program. Eventually, they became the Chief Executive Officer, overseeing executive-level responsibilities, fund development, and managing a team of professionals and volunteers.

David Arons obtained a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Public Policy at Tufts University from 1997 to 1999. David Arons completed their undergraduate studies at James Madison University, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Political Science between 1990 and 1993.
