Iris Maloney is a dedicated professional with experience in research coordination, mentorship, writing, and community service. Currently serving as a Research Coordinator at the National Brain Tumor Society since August 2023, Iris previously held the position of UConn Connects Peer Mentor at UConn Academic Achievement Center, assisting students in improving academic performance. As a Contributing Writer for Their Campus Media, Iris authored articles targeting college-aged women and collaborated with peers to generate engaging content. In addition, Iris worked as a Student Library Assistant at the University of Connecticut Pharmacy Library and participated in a U21 Sustainable Micro-Internship with Common Purpose, addressing global sustainability challenges. Iris's service with AmeriCorps as a COVID Testing Coordinator showcased a commitment to community support during the pandemic. Iris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Connecticut, complemented by studies at Fordham University.
