Katie Germain has a diverse work experience spanning different organizations and roles. Starting in 2006, they worked as a Program Associate at the National Center for Learning Disabilities until 2009. From 2009 to 2010, they served as an Assistant Director of Web Strategies and Communications at Saint Peter's College. Moving forward, Katie joined Rutgers University Foundation in various capacities. Katie started as an Editorial/Media Specialist from 2010 to 2013 and then became an Assistant Director for Integrated Alumni Communications until 2014. In 2014, they became the Director of Marketing and PR and held that position until 2015. Following that, Katie worked as the Director of Marketing and Communications at Peddie School from 2015 to 2016. Katie then returned to Rutgers University Foundation as the Senior Director, Marketing and PR from 2016 to 2020. Most recently, Katie has been appointed as the Senior Director of Communications at the National Brain Tumor Society since September 2020, and as of May 2022, they have taken up the role of Chief Marketing and Communications Officer within the same organization.

Katie Germain holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Creative Writing from Rutgers University. Prior to their postgraduate studies, they obtained a BA in Creative Writing from Purchase College, SUNY. No specific start or end years have been provided for either of their educational pursuits.
