Rebecca Buell

Rebecca Buell, CPA has had extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Rebecca currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc., where they oversee various functions such as Finance, Accounting, IT, Compliance, and HR. Rebecca has implemented a forecasting and budgeting process to improve organizational visibility and accountability. Rebecca actively engages in cross-departmental projects to support all teams in prioritizing high-impact campaigns and initiatives that align with the mission of NBCF.

Prior to their current role, Rebecca held positions of increasing responsibility at NBCF, including Vice President of Finance and Accounting, Senior Director of Finance & Planning, Director of Finance, Finance Manager, and Staff Accountant.

Before joining NBCF, Rebecca worked as a Controller at Gage Homes Inc. and as a Tax Preparer at H&R Block. Rebecca also gained experience working as a Teller at Chase bank and as an Administrative & Special Projects Intern at the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Overall, Rebecca's work experience demonstrates their expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and team collaboration within various industries.

Rebecca Buell, CPA, holds a Master of Science degree in Accounting and Information Management from the Naveen Jindal School of Management at UT Dallas, which they obtained from 2010 to 2011. Prior to their master's degree, they completed their undergraduate studies at Austin College, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Economics/Finance & Spanish from 2004 to 2008. Rebecca also graduated from Colleyville Heritage High School in 2004, where they obtained their High School Diploma. In addition to their academic achievements, Rebecca has obtained several certifications, including the Unconscious Bias certification from LinkedIn in July 2020, the Not-For-Profit Certificate I from AICPA in May 2018, and the Certified Public Accountant designation from TSBPA in April 2013.
