Declan O'Kane

Declan O'Kane has extensive work experience in various roles within the telecommunications industry. Declan has held positions at National Broadband Ireland, where they served as the Director of Risk Management & Business Transformation, as well as the Business Transformation Director and Business Readiness Programme Manager. Prior to that, they were a Director & Senior Consultant at Suresource Limited, providing ICT consultancy services to clients such as Three Ireland and Digicel. O'Kane also worked at eir Ireland, where they held roles as the Director Of Information Technology, Customer Operations, Programme Director, Head of Commercial Programs & Service Optimization, and Commercial Program Manager. Before that, they were an Information Technology Consultant at Cathan Consulting Ltd., working with organizations in the private and public sectors. O'Kane's career also includes positions at BT Ireland as a Senior Project Manager, Altion as a Software Development Manager, and Braxtel Communications as a Software Developer and Head of Systems Integration.

Declan O'Kane has a diverse education history. In 1997, they earned a B.Sc. in Computer Applications from Dublin City University, specializing in Computer Science. In 2010, they obtained a Higher Diploma in Business Management from the Institute of Technology, Carlow. Continuing their education, they completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management from Trinity College Dublin in 2004. With a keen interest in business, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Dublin City University from 2016 to 2018. In 2023, O'Kane attended the Institute of Directors (IoD) to obtain a Diploma in Company Directorship. Alongside their academic qualifications, they also hold additional certifications, including ITIL Foundation and Prince2 Practitioner from AXELOS Global Best Practice.
